The Edit / Error Knowledge Base is a tool for providers to use in their efforts to analyze the claim edit codes and/or claim status codes that they receive on the NYSDOH 835 X12 Remittance Advice Transaction and/or the NYSDOH 277 X12 Claim Status Response.

The codes received on these transactions can be analyzed by first “cross-walking” them to their associated proprietary edit/value. Click on the 835 or 277 CROSSWALKS below in order to begin your analysis. Once you have cross-walked your codes and have obtained the MMIS Proprietary Value, you can easily use the EDIT SEARCH TOOL (see below).
