MEVS ePACES Quick Reference Guide

To set up your ePACES account, call eMedNY Call Center at 1-800-343-9000 and provide them with your National Provider ID and an email address to get started.

· Select the appropriate provider from the drop down box in the upper right corner and select GO

· An *(asterisk) denotes a required field

Eligibility

Select Eligibility Request (Left bar)

· Enter Client ID

· Enter date of service (DOS)

o If DOS is today’s date you will also need the member’s sequence number on their ID card

o If past DOS you will only need to enter the DOS

· Select SUBMIT

Select Eligibility Response (Left bar)

· Double click on Client ID

· View information of client

Service Authorization (includes eligibility check)

Service Authorization Request

· Enter Client ID

· Enter date of service (DOS)

o If DOS is today’s date you will also need the member’s sequence number on their ID card

o If past DOS you will only need to enter the date

· Enter type of service

· Answer section ‘release of information’

· Answer section ‘exempt from copay’

· Number of rendered service units. (This must be a two-digit numeric entry; e.g. “01”)

· Select SUBMIT

Service Authorization Response

· Double click on Client ID

· View client information

• Check for additional payers and eligibility
