The New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) allows the pharmacy community to submit MEVS transactions electronically in a Batch Method to the eMedNY Electronic Gateway. Because the data is submitted electronically, the manual processing associated with magnetic media is no longer required and the return of submission information is accelerated. Responses with regard to the general acceptance of the data submitted will be available through the eMedNY for retrieval (down loading) within a short time frame.

This manual is designed to assist providers and/or software vendors in connecting to the eMedNY Electronic Gateway to submit NCPDP Version 5.1 with the 1.1 envelope required for Batch submissions.
