Out-of-State Providers frequently find themselves asking questions other providers may not have to consider, as several aspects of New York Medicaid may pertain to them in a different manner. Here we answer some of the most frequent questions asked of us, in order to help out-of-state providers use the eMedNY system more effectively. Q: How do I enter an out-of-state license number in the
ordering provider field?
A: Choose the appropriate 2-digit profession code from the list in
the MEVS Provider Manual. After entering the profession code,
enter the appropriate 2-character state code followed by the
license number.
