ATTENTION PROVIDERS: ENHANCED PROVIDER ENROLLMENT WEB PAGES ON EMEDNY.ORG

The Provider Enrollment section on this website has been re-designed in order to provide you with a more user-friendly approach to enrollment, maintenance forms and instructions. Please take a moment to browse the new "Provider Enrollment Portal" to become familiar with the location of forms you may need in the future, or, if you are considering enrolling in the program, take a tour!

Some key features:

  • On the eMedNY home page, you will notice a new Provider Enrollment Tab at the top of the page. Also, note the link located on the upper left panel. These now go directly to Provider Enrollment. (Note - you may still access the Provider Enrollment section by going to the Information Tab first.)
  • Once you click on Provider Enrollment, you will come to a new Provider Enrollment "portal". There you will find an introduction to NY Medicaid, (a Provider Enrollment Guide), links to the Provider Maintenance Forms Page and links to new Rate Based Enrollment Form Web Pages for Institutional Providers.
  • If you have any difficulty navigating the new section or cannot locate a form you need, please contact the eMedNY Call Center at (800) 343-9000.

ATTENTION PROVIDERS: NPI PROCESSING CHANGE EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 1, 2009

On October 1, 2009, eMedNY will convert to an NPI processing system for all claims and non-claims transactions. All such transactions submitted by affected providers must contain an NPI. Providers who have been complying with eMedNY NPI requirements and are already submitting their NPI as the billing provider identifier will not be impacted. Those providers who have not complied need to submit their NPI or risk denial of transactions (claim and non-claim) and/or delays in payments.

eMedNY will continue to accept claims submitted with both an NPI and an MMIS ID as the billing provider identifier, but it will only use the NPI to process such claims. The MMIS ID will no longer be used to process claims.

Atypical providers are not impacted and may continue to use their MMIS ID.

Questions should be directed to the eMedNY Call Center at 1-800-343-9000.
