The New York State Department of Health provides Medicaid providers with the ability to submit NYS Medicaid proprietary claims and HIPAA claim transactions electronically to the Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) Fiscal Agent (FA), CSC. The MMIS also accepts electronic submissions of encounter data from Manage Care Plans enrolled in the NYS Medicaid Program. This manual will provide Trading Partners with useful information on the procedures to follow when submitting electronic NYS Medicaid proprietary claims and HIPAA claim transactions to the New York State Department of Health's Fiscal Agent.
