COVID-19 Provisional Temporary Provider Enrollment

At this time in the public health emergency, it is strongly encouraged that a full enrollment application be submitted rather than a PTPE enrollment application.
Pursuant to section 1135(b)(1)(B) of the Social Security Act, New York State has been offering the provisional temporary enrollment through the Provisional Temporary Provider Enrollment (PTPE) Portal during the public health emergency. Please note that if an enrollment is submitted through the PTPE Portal, the full enrollment process will also have to be completed, including a full paper application, at the end of the public health emergency in order to be considered for continued enrollment.

This provisional enrollment applies to providers in the following Categories of Service (COS):
To enroll using the Online Portal, do the following:
  1. Access the portal at: https://pe.emedny.org/
  2. Sign Up for your eMedNY ID. Need help signing up? Click Here
  3. Step through the forms and upload any required documents.
  4. You can check your dashboard for updates

To enroll an individual provider or if you need support, please contact the eMedNY Call Center at 800-343-9000.

Processing and Approval
If your application is approved, you will receive a Medicaid Provider ID number (MMIS) and will be able to submit claims transactions. An enrollment letter will be sent to you.
