Through the NY Medicaid EHR Incentive Program, eligible hospitals (EH) and eligible professionals (EP) in New York who adopt, implement, or upgrade certified EHR technology, and subsequently become meaningful users of the EHR technology, can qualify for financial incentives.
CMS finalized a continuous 90-day EHR reporting period in 2016 and 2017 for all returning EPs, eligible hospitals, and CAHs that have previously demonstrated meaningful use. The EHR reporting period will be any continuous 90-day period between January 1st and December 31st in calendar year 2016 and calendar year 2017.

In July, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) proposed to reduce the 2016 EHR reporting period for all providers to a continuous 90-day period. The Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) has launched a new Certified Health IT Product List (CHPL). The new site is available at http://chpl.healthit.gov/. All currently certified 2014 Edition products along with new 2015 Edition products will be listed on the new CHPL site.
The deadline for 2015 Adopt, Implement, or Upgrade (AIU) attestations was March 31, 2016. Providers with extenuating circumstances beyond their control that prevented them from attesting by the deadline may submit an Attestation Deadline Extension (ADE) Request Form. Extension requests for 2015 AIU attestations must be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org no later than April 30, 2016.
