Through the NY Medicaid EHR Incentive Program, eligible hospitals (EH) and eligible professionals (EP) in New York who adopt, implement, or upgrade certified EHR technology, and subsequently become meaningful users of the EHR technology, can qualify for financial incentives.

New Public Health Requirements and Registration System

Connecting to Public Health is an important part of Meaningful Use! Please navigate to the new Public Health MU Website to review guidance on MU Stage 1 and MU Stage 2 public health objectives. The website provides an in-depth overview on registration details, data specifications and testing procedures.

New MU Stage 2 Registration and Onboarding Requirement:An Eligible Provider must register their intent to submit data with Public Health in the new Meaningful Use Registration for Public Health (MURPH) system within 60 days of the start of one's EHR Reporting Period. Please review the Public Health MU Website for further information on the registration process and additional onboarding requirements.

Payment Year 2014 Alert

All ONC Certified EHR Technology must now be certified to new 2014 standards to allow providers to be eligible to participate in the NY Medicaid EHR Incentive Program for Payment Year 2014 and beyond.

ATTENTION:
Payment Year 2013 for Eligible Hospitals (EH) ends on September 30, 2013.

NY Medicaid has adopted an additional 90 day attestation grace period which will end on December 29, 2013.

Please contact 1-877-646-5410 - Option 2 to receive clarification on any attestation and deadline questions.
