Pursuant to section 1135(b)(1)(B) of the Social Security Act, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Service approved New York's request to temporarily cease revalidation of Medicaid providers who are in New York or are otherwise directly impacted by the COVID-19 emergency.
As a result, the New York State Medicaid Program has made the following changes to Provider Enrollment, which remain in effect during the emergency:
Medicaid enrolled providers are due to revalidate every 5 years from either the enrollment effective date as specified in their Medicaid Welcome Letter or the Last Date revalidation was completed as indicated in their Successful Completion of Revalidation Letter.

After submission of the revalidation application and additional required documents, continue to bill as normal. You will not receive a written notice that the revalidation packet was received.
eMedNY does not send any correspondence once a revalidation has been queued for review by the Bureau. There are no timeframes associated with the processing of revalidation applications. Continue to bill NY Medicaid as normal.
If reviewers require additional information for the processing of your Revalidation, the Bureau of Provider Enrollment will correspond with you directly by mail or by the applicant's e-mail address found on the application form. The Bureau of Provider Enrollment cannot e-mail the corporate email address.
When the submitted revalidation is approved by the Bureau of Provider Enrollment, a "Successful Revalidation" letter will be sent to the address on the application.
The next time you must revalidate is five years from the date on this letter.
Federal regulations require that your enrollment be terminated. This means that you will no longer be eligible to order/refer/ prescribe services and payment for services you render will no longer be available.
You may continue to submit claims. There is nothing more you need to do. DOH will contact you if they need more information.
