Provider Outreach is responsible for the administration and coordination of regional training and outreach activities for the eMedNY Provider Services department. Outreach (Regional) Representatives conduct provider training and assist providers with issues they have not resolved using other available resources.

eMedNY Provider Outreach Representatives are located in eight regions across New York state. The graphic below shows the counties within each Outreach Representative's region.

Outreach Representatives assist providers with a wide range of eMedNY topics. Some examples include:

Outreach representatives evaluate your training request, questions and issues to determine the most appropriate method to meet your training needs. Assistance and training alternatives include:
Phone consultations - Provider outreach is frequently conducted over the telephone. Many provider training requests are successfully resolved over the phone with the Outreach Representative. Please click here to request support.
Individual Web-based sessions - Web-based training sessions are conducted using WebEx to train one or more of a provider's staff. The web-based application allows for remote training options and screen sharing which may be customized to your needs. Please click here to request support.
Webinars - Webinars are web-based presentations designed to inform and instruct multiple providers on topics/issues related to the Medicaid program in a group training session. Seminars - Seminars are in-person presentations designed to inform and instruct providers on topics/issues related to the Medicaid program. Seminar topics, locations, dates, times and registration links are listed on the eMedNY Provider Training calendar
Onsite visits - In-person, on-site visits offer a face-to-face forum for outreach and training, usually conducted at a Medicaid provider's office or facility, and are an option which Outreach Representatives utilize for more advanced training situations and complex trouble-shooting. Support to Agencies and Organizations
The Provider Outreach Representatives also work closely with various agencies and organizations, such as medical societies and provider associations. The Outreach staff is available to provide support, attend meetings and customize training presentations.
